I am a new user and I have a very silly question. I am trying to interface atmega 64 to hctl from an encoder. On my schematic, I simply connected the encoder to hctl just like it shows on the hctl datasheet and then from hctl to atmega But my teacher is saying that I need an additional part called DS26LS32 quad differential line receiver to be hooked up to the encoder before hctl I mean like this encoder, then DS26LS32, then hctl, and then atmega I was under the impression that you can directly hook up the encoder with hctl
