The ethical of the lawyers was inquired, because they accept to defend persons accused of serious crimes, thus contributing to impunity. The topic is not new. It has already happened with regard to the lawyers that acted in the defense of supposed counter-revolutionaries of the French Revolution and then in the episode of the captain Dreifus, in France in the end of XIX century, and in Israel when John Demjuk was judged, accused of very serious crimes practiced in the Concentration Camp of Treblinka. In Brazil, the most recent and emblematic case took place with the beloved Evaristo de Morais Filho, who defended the then president Collor. When criminalists are not confused with the own accused, there an irresistible calling of the public or published opinion to pre-judge the cases. Then it is formed an explosive set: the accused, even before being judged is already considered a dangerous felon and his lawyer is not but an abject who accepted the case of the offender for money.

Simpson, and his first novel, timspalding. This book was somewhat annoying. It was good to see that Dershowitz did not rely on pro-Israeli sourses to back up his arguments, rather he used neutral, and often pro-Palestinian sorces to ensure that his facts were not tainted by bias. This book takes a major step in the right direction by talking about the facts in a realistic way, and in their proper context. After reading this book, this is now my view. Even worse some ultra-left Jews in the Diaspora, have also turned on their fellow Jews in Israel, throwing their influence behind the Arab campaign for a holocaust of Israeli Jewry.

Indeed, despite the cold-blooded deceptions by the left especially in academia and the media the struggle is simply of 5 million Israeli men, women and children just to survive in the little strip of land, which one can barely see on a world map-the ancient homeland of the Jewish people.
As a trained lawyer, Dershowitz knows that he must be careful with his facts. Dershowitz has 9 past events. What I found most helpful is an appendix where he states what are legitimate disagreements about Israeli policy and what constitutes closet anti-Semitism. He is also one damn good author. In keeping with his general argument in favor of context and comparative analysis, Dershowitz frames the U. Palestinian leadership support of Nazi efforts and many of the surrounding countries supporting the losing side, explaining geographic changes.
