Sri Harinama Cintamani
Why, we might ask, is the Holy Name the most valuable thing? Is direct darsana of the Lord not better, or a wish-fulfilling tree or or or? The answer is given by Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura - the Holy Name of the Lord has descended into this world to benefit one and all. It is dull and inert. The individual souls, imprisoned in the material world are the only spiritual entities within this world. Thus the Holy Name is the second spiritual entity in this world.
